INNOVATION AT ITS BEST
This factory-built, special plywood faced system provides advantages not found
with conventional systems:
-
Construct 255 square feet of wall form with only 12 component parts (includes
lift brackets and walkway brackets).
-
Requires no walers, no strongbacks, no wedges, no spacers, no nuts or bolts.
For most applications.
-
A 1650 pound per square foot pour capacity in a system that weighs only a
little more than 10 pounds per square foot.
FEWER COMPONENTS
Thanks to Manto’s exclusive connecting components, hardware is drastically
reduced!
-
Less hardware leads to considerable gains in productivity.
-
Fewer components equate to minimal shortages.
-
Elimination of walers increases gang versatility.

CONNECTS, ALIGNS AND WALES IN ONE
STEP
The key component that sets Manto apart is the Aligning Panel Clamp. This
impactresistant component not only connects the panels, it also assures that
the form faces are flush, aligned and waled. This one element replaces all the
wedges, walers, spacers, plates, nuts and bolts required to connect, align and
wale other formwork systems.
POSITIVE CONNECTIONS MADE EASY
The Aligning Panel Clamp consists of only one part and installs quickly. To
assemble the entire system, simply place the locking jaws over the side rail
and spin-tighten the wing nut with the Manto Ratchet or secure with a hammer.
The result is an absolutely tight, tension-resistant connection. A connection
that also aligns the panel joint and wales the gang. No other walers,
strongbacks or accessories are required… even when handling most large gangs.
Compare the difference yourself. Walers, strongbacks, plate washers, brackets,
hooks, and an assortment of bolts and nuts are all replaced by one single
piece. That’s a lot of components to assemble, not to mention risk misplacing
and paying for in rental shortages.
The Adjustable Aligning Clamp has all the advantages of the Aligning
Panel Clamp, plus adaptability for special applications. The Adjustable
Aligning Clamp is used for on-site construction of lumber fillers up to 6”. It
produces accurate, flush-face surfaces.
THE MULTIPURPOSE WALER
The Multipurpose Waler is easy to attach to the Manto forms. It is great for
bulkheads and filler support.

|
| High Capacity - Light Weight |
|
|
Not only is Manto fast to assemble, it’s also strong and light because of the
special 5½” deep frame section and system design.
The integrated reinforcing ribs and special frame make the panel unbelievably
rigid – in fact the strongest in the industry! Even large gangs can be tilted
and lifted without additional strongback walers. Plus, all Manto frames are
hot-dipped galvanized for longer, effective life.
Manto is capable of handling 11 feet of liquid head pressure with minimal
deflection, yet it has a total system weight of only 10.3 pounds per square
foot. Of course, there are no walers, waler hardware, wedges, shims, bolts or
nuts to add to the weight.
The special 5½” deep rolled sections and special plywood combine for a pour
capacity beyond that of even standard steel-faced forms!
For convenience, an edge recess is built into the frame allowing easy
positioning following crane setting.
All panels have a projecting edge that protects the high-quality overlay
plywood against damages. Special rolled grooves provide a positive grip for
connecting hardware.

| Panel Sizes |
|
|
|
VARIETY OF SIZES
Manto offers standard panel form sizes to suit almost any wall forming
requirements. The standard panels are 270 cm (8’ – 10” nominal) and are
available in standard widths from 45 cm (18” nom.) to 120 cm (47” nom.). There
is also a special double-panel width of 240 cm (7’ – 10” nom.), providing
higher efficiency for large gang assembly, reconfigurations and disassembly.
For even greater productivity on high wall forming, Manto provides a 330 cm
(approx. 10’ – 10”) high form. Developed especially for large-area gang
forming, this bold new addition extends Manto economy and labor savings even
further. Full liquid head walls almost 11 feet high are possible without
stacking forms.
Even with the increased height, only two Aligning clamps and tow ties are
required. It’s like getting 15 more square feet of forming area free! Fewer
panels also mean fewer panel joints and that improves the concrete surface
appearance.
The super-size, 330 cm panel is designed for the same pressure capacity (up to
1650 psf), and it is 100% compatible with the rest of the Manto product line.
VERSATILITY
All panels can be assembled either in an upright or horizontal position.
Footings and low walls can be formed quickly and economically with just one row
of ties in the concrete. Because connections are not dependent on a fixed-bolt
spacing like most modular systems, panels are fully stoppable in either
orientation.
The Manto Aligning Panel Clamp stacks panels for higher walls. Only two clamps
are needed for additional extension panels.
Height extensions up to 15¾” are also possible using the Manto Aligning Panel
Clamp and typical construction materials.
The Adjustable Manto Panel expands approximately 10 inches to fill panel runs.

| Corners and Ties |
|

|
RIGID CORNERS THAT FLEX
The Manto standard inside corner has a unique advantage over typical modular
forms… it flexes! A detachable brace allows the panel to release from a rigid
90 degrees to 88 degrees. The extra draft makes corner stripping easy.
PANELS CREATE OUTSIDE CORNERS
The Manto Outer Corner Clamp is as simple to use as the Aligning Panel Clamp.
It forms a precise 90 degrees outside corner with any standard panel in one
easy step, eliminating the need for special outside corner elements.
ANGLED WALL INTERSECTIONS
Typical wall intersections from 60 degrees to 175 degrees are handled
efficiently with Manto corner accessories. Hinged Corners combine with hinged
walers or other components to produce accurate corners.
TIES
Ties and hardware are made from the tried and tested 15mm, high tensile,
threaded bar. All threaded products are built to last. Taper Ties are also
available. One-piece tie nuts are all that are required to distribute the load
to the Manto Frame. The Manto Tie Nut is specially grooved for use with the
Manto Ratchet if wrench tightening is preferred.
Also
available are 20mm reusable ties, which make Manto one of the highest rated
capacity forms of any standard rentable form system in the US.

| Hardware and Accessories |
|
Solidly constructed, Manto accessories assure accuracy for fine forming
adjustments.
Large gangs can be quickly assembled with just a few components. As little as
two Panel Lift Brackets are adequate for large gangs.
The durable Panel Lift Bracket has an integrated safety catch to assure a
proper lock. One of the continuous grooves built into the panel edge member
allows a positive connection on the frame. After the gang is set, the Panel
Lift Bracket is quickly released by lifting the safety catch.
SHAFT AND CORE FORMING
Manto panels, Hinged Corners, Outer Corners and Push-Pull Rods combine to
create an efficient shaft-forming package. Additional accessories, which
include trailing walkways and flapper-core type support, complete the system.
All attached components are handled as a single unit.
|
|
 |
WALKWAY BRACKETS
Walkway Brackets fasten quickly with attached pin to either vertically or
horizontally stacked panels.
ALIGNING
Accurate plumbing and alignment is made easy with the Manto Aligning Post
Shore. Additional post shores are available to accommodate greater heights.
