Symons Silver Forming
System Panel Design

The Symons Silver forming system is a pre-engineered, reusable, factory-built design. Because there is no measuring, sawing, drilling, or nailing you maximize productivity and efficiency.

Due to its light-weight design, unique patented hardware and accessories and long service life, it is a productive simple and low cost system to use.

The standard panel size is 3' - 0" You are able to increase labor productivity because of the large panel size, which increases the square footage of contact area in a single unit.

The System is designed  and manufactured consistently with a known strength factor, which is a major consideration to jobsite safety. All aluminum components are fully tested to provide a safe 1000 PSF load rating. The hardened steel bus hings protect siderails, provide accurate alignment and extended service life. By supporting the 1/8" aluminum faces with crossmembers, deflection is minimized. The forms durability is maintained by use of I-Beam shaped siderails that are reinforced with corner gussets.

Two standard panel and filler designs are offered by Symons, the 6-12 and 8-8. However, they do have the capability to manufacture other hole patterns to match existing equipment. Regardless of the design, all are manufactures to the strictest specifications which include: a siderail to protect the recessed 1/8" aluminum face sheet. Gusset-reinforced corners that are durable, rigid and square, and hardened steel bushings to reduce wear at hardware connections.

The 6-12 System is designed with siderail holes 6 inches from the end and then 12 inches on center. Panel and fillers 26 inches or more in width are designed with a channel section crossmember to maximize the strength-to-weight ratio. Fillers from 4 inches to 24 inches are designed with a trapezoidal crossmember to reduce weight while maintaining strength. The 1/8" aluminum face minimizes deflection.

The 8-8 system is designed with siderail holes 8 inches on center. This hole pattern will match the existing 8-24 equipment in use by by contractors. Crossmembers are trapezoidal in shape to allow for hardware clearance on this tighter hole pattern. The 1/8" aluminum face sheet minimizes deflection.

The brick texture can be produced in concrete surfaces at a fraction of the cost of conventional masonry construction. Symons Silver panels and fillers can be ordered with brick pattern face sheets to produce an attractive option for basement walls, retaining walls or other exposed concrete surfaces.
